I cannot think of a way to describe just how much I fell in love with every part of this book and just how much joy it has given me. I will try though ٩(ര̀ᴗര́) I think of everything to soak up I truly did enjoy the characters the most, but granted I loved everything. Val as the POV character made my heart swell because hes just got such a way about him that scratches my brain just right. Hes also a little freak which is perfect and good. It took me some time to get to KIYE but I recommend it fully!!
This was one of the most beautiful, and haunting pieces of literature I've ever read in my entire life. I'm going to be thinking about this story until the day I die. It's so wonderful, and I cannot fully express how moving, and gorgeous every single moment is. I'm going to cherish this book forever.

I’ve devoured this book like a demon after picking it up when I first came across it on AO3 with a couple of chapters out, I ended up buying this book to find out how it ends. I fell in love with the characters and the worldbuilding, I enjoyed how there wasn’t a boatload of infodump about the worldbuilding, it slowly reveals to you little by little while developing the characters’ development in relation to each other.
If you’re into found family, monsters, manifested concept of everything that makes one a human being and characters healing each other’s trauma through the power of love, you won’t be disappointed by this book.
